Disappointed & Upbeat (at the same time)

Finally the result that we’ve been threatening for a few weeks; from start to finish every player worked their socks off and the 3-0 score line certainly didn’t flatter us.

I was disappointed to be given the news on Friday that I wouldn’t be playing. Admittedly I had played a couple of games that weren’t up to my usual standard but I was very pleased with my past two performances so the news did come as a surprise to me but if anyone were to come in for me then I’d want it to be Scott.

As I’ve said a few times before, I hold him in the highest regard - a top keeper and a great lad too. So although I don’t want to be a number two I will support him 100 per cent until another chance arises.

This week has been a good week for training as there were no midweek games, training was of a high standard all week and I believe that plays its part when it comes to a game on a Saturday, it’s often the case that a good week of training results in a good performance.

Away from football I have actually began a coaching course which takes place every Thursday afternoon.  I’m aiming to acquire my coaching badges up to Level 3, which will allow me coach to a high standard, something which I fully intend on doing once my time is up.

Like all fans, we players await the news of who will take over as manager with eager anticipation. Malky certainly hasn’t done his claim any harm since taking over the reins and would be a popular choice amongst the lads if he gets it.

If rumours are to be believed then this time next week I’ll be sure to give the lowdown on whoever it is and all being well I’ll be speaking of another couple of big victories. See ya then.
