Reading rumours, golf at The Belfry, ex-keeper chat and Florida...
It was a quiet week as expected - although rumours circulate about the possibility of Brendan going to Reading.
I honestly have no inside info about this rumour but obviously hope there isn’t any truth in it. It’s been a very promising start to his managerial career at Watford and it’d be a shame if it were to end so soon. I’m sure there will be more news on this in the coming week or two.
For me it was a week filled with golf and meeting up with a few friends. I was fortunate to play The Belfry earlier in the week, thanks to a friend of Alec’s. Sean Dyche also joined us for a round and was the stand-out performer on the day. It was my first visit to The Belfry and, despite it being very windy, we had a great day.
The summer is always a great chance to catch up with people that you don’t have time to see during the season; I’m hoping to catch up with a few ex-Watford keepers in the coming weeks too, I still speak to Chris Day, Espen Baardsen and, of course, Ben Foster - so will be visiting them during June.
I jet off to Florida on Tuesday for a two-week break so expect next week’s diary to be filling you in on some of the theme parks and water parks that I planned to go to later this week!
Bye for now.
