Last week before it's back to business include hopes for Scott Loach, 7-a-side, golf and a new signing already...
Another quiet week - as expected - although there were a couple of things of note; one being the signing of Scott Severin from Aberdeen.
He comes to us with a very positive reputation so I’m sure all Watford fans will be eager to see what he can add to our team next season.
And of course this week the England Under-21 team progressed to the final but, in doing so, a yellow card for Joe Hart means that Scott may play in the final itself!
I’ve been in touch with Loachy over the summer and I don’t think anyone could really have written the script for him this season; 40-odd games under his belt and the possibility of playing in a final for England...I’m sure I’ll be amongst many Watford fans tuning in for that one.
On a personal note it was a week of getting some fitness work done in preparation for our return to training on Wednesday. It's been a fantastic break but I’m ready to get stuck into my football again now.
I took part in a 7-a-side with Jobi, Ady and a few others last week which was a lot of fun and certainly whet the appetite for the weeks ahead.
I also managed to squeeze in a few more rounds of golf which no doubt will be harder to fit in once pre-season commences!
We’re back on Wednesday, so I’ll have all te latest news from our training ground next week.
Bye for now.
