Seven points from three games - and a performance live on Sky to get everyone talking, including Rich
Seven points from three games leaves us sitting in a decent position in the Championship table.
A 4-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday was comfortably our most impressive performance to date and it was a great time to do it, live on Sky Sports. I think that those who had their doubts were silenced a while back but it was great to hear the fans in form at The Vic on Friday night.
There were a few stand-out performers but Henri really made his mark at Watford with a couple of goals, one in particular that is no doubt a contender for goal of the season.
The rest of the week saw us gain a good point away at Ipswich, Nathan grabbing a vital last-minute equaliser. It’s great to see our fans giving Nathan a chance. It’s fair to say it wasn't an ideal introduction to Watford for him but he’s been a real handful in the games he’s appeared in this season and is training harder than anyone. I was delighted for him that he managed to get his goal to cap what has been an excellent start to the season for him.
On a personal note I’m making good progress with my injury, at the moment most of my work is gym-based but I’m hoping to be back outside within the next week or so and once again pushing Scott.
We have another big one this weekend as we take on West Brom at the Hawthorns. This on paper is a very tough game but I’m sure we’ll take heart from our recent results so will go there with every intention of taking maximum points.
